Trinket Box Lid.

Ready to go, then lets open up PI and get started.

Open a new image 350 x 350, colour white.

Select the path drawing tool, shape ellipse 3D round, select metallic steel 7 or any other you prefer.

Border 32 Depth 30.

Draw a shape around 160 x 64.

Duplicate this part and set the duplicate to one side.

Path drawing tool again, select Plaque 5.

Same metallic preset you used on the lid.

Border 16 Depth 30.

Draw a shape big enough to fit round the bottom edge of the lid, around 160 x 74.

Flip this piece vertically then use the transform tool to get a good fit.

Pull it away from the ellipse again because, as you can see, we need to do something with the top edge, it has too much reflection.

Right click and convert to image.
Select the blur tool, set at round shape 20 level 5 and soft edge 50.
Gently run the blur over the top edge a couple of times.

Looks a bit better now:-)

Drag your duplicated ellipse back onto the canvas..

Keep the duplicate selected and go to the material button, select gold 5 border 4 depth 30.

Look at the layer manager now and make sure the gold rim is under the original ellipse and just visible.

While the gold is selected change the shape to circle or any you prefer and add a small knob to act as the catch on the box.

Right click and select all objects then merge as single object.

There now, that was easy:-)
Put to one side till we make the porcelain flowers.

Open a new image 350 x 350.

Path drawing tool, shape flower 3.

Border 8 Depth 13.

Work with this bigger than what you will need, so you can see what you are doing, we can re size later.

Draw the shape then duplicate it and rotate the duplicate vertically, line the 2 centres up.

Lets change it from just a solid colour to something that looks a bit more like porcelain.

Merge these two pieces as a single object.

In the easy palette, select button gallery, any shape.

Choose A21 modify properties and apply, change the light elevation to 35 and click ok.

Select path shape circle and draw a nice centre for your flower.

Place the centre in position and merge as single object.

NOTE If you want flowers of different colours on the same trinket box, you may find it easier to recolor this before adding the yellow centre.

Before we position the flowers we will make a few leaves.

Select shape leaf 6.

Draw a bigger than needed leaf in green, border 9 depth 30.

Drag it to the trinket box and resize.

Duplicate and rotate a couple of them, and place on the trinket box.

Drag the flower over onto the trinket box.

Using the transform tool with aspect ratio locked, re size the flower to just a bit bigger than you need it to be.

Unlock the aspect ratio and make the flower and use the transform resize again, pushing upwards on the bottom centre square.

Now change to perspective re size and drag the top left square inwards till you get something similar to this.

Now add the flowers, duplicating and rotating until you get the look you like, add any other decoration you like.

There are lots of possibilities for this.

The gold one I made as above, then put a downloaded globe base round it.

You are limited only by your creativity and imagination:-)

I hope you enjoyed making your trinket box.
